It effects 8 out of 10 people at some point in their life. For 40% of those cases, it becomes chronic and effects their daily living. That means roughly 1\/3 of the population is walking around with back pain that won&#8217;t go away.<\/p>\n<p>And back pain doesn&#8217;t discriminate. It shows up in good times, and bad. It effects young and old.<\/p>\n<p>If you&#8217;ve had back pain at some point in your life, it&#8217;s good to know that there are three ways to make sure it doesn&#8217;t become chronic or a long-term problem:<\/p>\n<p>1) get an accurate diagnosis&#8230;find out what&#8217;s causing the pain, not just that there is pain or where the pain is coming from, the cause or source can be very different<\/p>\n<p>2) get adequate treatment in quantity and quality that matches your problem, and do it in a timely fashion (yes, self care is important, but often with self care and even with some treatment, if it&#8217;s not comprehensive or personalized, it can help back pain feel better but not fix the problem)&#8230;unfortunately, but appropriately, we hope that the pain and the problem will be fixed in as short a time as possible, however some problems just take longer&#8230;patience and persistence go a long way to help in full recovery<\/p>\n<p>3) learn about your back and back pain&#8230;research shows that people with back pain that understand what&#8217;s going on and why with their body get better faster and stay better longer<\/p>\n<p>For that reason, I&#8217;ve included the 9 key insights for managing back pain with this blog.
